I think the market share will continue to grow for Apple. They have delivered to the market a solid leader in Smart Phone technology with the iPhone and pair that with the App Store even though it's not fully mature, I see a lot of room for growth and innovation.

Sadly I don't see the competition being able to re-produce the successful combination that Apple has produced and their being first to market with this combination because it's left too wide a cavern to cross for the competition.

Palm, Google, Blackberry and the others need to make sure their new Smart Phones in response to the iPhone don't feel like copy-cats with the touch screen and style of the iPhone. Not only do they need to position themselves differently in the market but they really need to do something innovative to take the iPhone concept of SmartPhones beyond what Apple has done. So far, I'm not too impressed as they all kind of seem "cool" but not as nifty as the iPhone and now with Apple's new low prices, call me biased, but I'm still waiting to see something great from the others that can take away a good market share chunk.

The new data from AbMob is pretty interesting, I think the whole world is curious to see how Apple will advance. Especially with the release of the latest 3G S iPhone, will they gain an even bigger chunk of the smartphone market? We've been debating this subject on our blog, please check us out: http://uimagicinc.com/blog/?p=165 I'm sure you'd have a lot to contribute to our discussion!
